Using the material provided in the Resource Bibliography, write a case study report describing a project or projects that have attempted to address the Closing the Gap targets in the following areas:  In 3000 words

Assignment Structure

Introduction: (approx. 250 words)

Provide a brief summary of the Closing the Gap Policy (CTG). It is important to include an overview of not only the original targets developed by the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) in the Statement of Intent, but also the new targets adopted in the COAG Statement of the Closing the Gap Refresh (2018). It is also important to be aware of the identified building blocks that underpin target areas, for example, housing. Be careful to not confuse the Close the Gap campaign with the Closing the Gap Policy. Please go to the following link to refresh your memory of CTG:

Provide an overview of the case study or studies you have selected and describe how they relate to a specific Closing the Gap target or targets.

Body of the Work: (approx. 2000 words – OORA400)

Evaluate how the program contributes to specific Closing the Gap (CTG) targets.

Identify successes of program(s):

Summarise the successes (including the evidence and causes), from major to minor, in your own words.

Give reasons for successes using academic literature to support your arguments.

Identification of problems of program(s):

Summarise the problems (including the evidence and causes), from major to minor, in your own words.

Give reasons as to why problems have occurred using academic literature to support your arguments.

Solutions to identified problems. What could improve the program?:

Provide rational and reasonable solutions to the problems you have identified in the case.

Evaluate each solution in terms of its advantages and disadvantages?

Discussion and Conclusion: (approx. 450 words)

Summarise positives and any negatives of the program in relation to CTG targets.

Describe how the program could better address CTG targets

Recommendations: (approx. 150 words)

Outline a minimum of three recommendations based on the solutions for each of the identified problems.

Your recommendations should be realistic, practical and achievable, and be supported by relevant theories.
